Penn State has the chance to do something no college football team has done before.
No. 10 PSU will play in its first Peach Bowl Dec. 30 in Atlanta against No. 11 Ole Miss. PSU has a chance to become the first program in NCAA history to win the Peach Bowl, Cotton Bowl, Orange Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, Sugar Bowl and Rose Bowl.
PSU finished the 2023 season 10-2 for the second-consecutive season following losses to Ohio State and Michigan. James Franklin’s team beat Utah 35-21 in the final traditional Rose Bowl before the game was engulfed by the College Football Playoff.
PSU played its first bowl game 100 years ago Jan. 1, 1923, in the Granddaddy of Them All. USC defeated PSU 14-3. PSU tied SMU in the Cotton Bowl on Jan. 1, 1948, during its next bowl appearance.
