Jaelyne Matthews, Penn State’s top-rated Class of 2025 commit, will be visiting two-time defending national champion Georgia May 31, he tweeted Tuesday afternoon.

Georgia offered the four-star offensive tackle from New Jersey’s Toms River North High School late last April, around the same time Penn State did.
Matthews (6-foot-8, 280 pounds) ended up committing to Penn State in late January, becoming the first player to do so in the ’25 Class.
Despite his commitment, Matthews— the No. 1 player in New Jersey, No. 8 offensive tackle and No. 64 overall player nationally— has been listening to other schools. Since committing to Penn State, Matthews has gained offers from Florida, Florida State, Michigan, South Carolina and Wisconsin.
The Florida State offer came in early March, and the last four have come within the past two weeks. Matthews tweeted his offers from Florida and South Carolina this past Saturday, and Nittany Sports Now caught up with him shortly after.
He told NSN that he has no intention of de-committing yet, but also knows that he has options.
“If it’s in God’s will to relieve myself from Penn State,” he said, “their fans will always be a part of me, a part of my journey, but not any plans as of right now to de-commit.”
Matthews also told NSN that Georgia was one of the schools he planned on visiting this summer, along with Alabama, Ohio State, Penn State and Tennessee.
He has offers from all of those schools except Alabama.
Matthews is one of three players committed to Penn State’s ’25 Class, along with four-star safety Omari Gaines (Newark, New Jersey) and four-star RB Kiandrea Barker (Houston, Texas).
Nothing right now indicates that Jaelyne Matthews is leaning toward Georgia, but if he ends up going there, this would be the second straight summer Penn State’s lost an OL commit to Athens. Joshua “Doogie” Miller, a three-star ’23 prospect, de-committed from Penn State and chose Georgia last June.
