Less than a day after gaining a commit in receiver Yazeed Haynes, Penn State is back down to 12 players for its 2023 class.
Miller, a 6-foot-5, 320-pound offensive lineman from Life Christian Academy in Colonial Heights, Virginia, had been committed to Penn State since five days before last Christmas. In early-February, Miller tweeted that his recruitment was “107% shutdown.”
More recently, Miller had scheduled his official visit to Penn State for June 17.
But a little more than three months later, Georgia came calling and offered Miller. This past Sunday, 247Sports’ Brian Dohn made a “crystal ball” projection for Miller to commit to Georgia.
At 8:24 Sunday night, Miller tweeted that he had an announcement scheduled for noon Monday.
Many Penn State fans were able to easily connect the dots, and their predictions/fears were realized.
Penn State’s 2023 class is back down to 12 players. With Miller seemingly out of the picture, Penn State has three offensive linemen committed for next year’s class; five-star Alex Birchmeier, four-star J’ven Williams and three-star Anthony Donkoh.
