Anthony “Scoota” Carrie, a Class of 2024 four-star athlete out of Carrollwood Day High School in Tampa, Florida, has narrowed his school choice down to 12, and Penn State made the list.
Penn State is in the running along with Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and South Carolina. Carrie is the number five running back, the number ten player in Florida, and the No. 46 player nationally, according to Rivals.com ratings.

Penn State made an offer to Carrie in January.
Carrie is a 6-foot-0, 190-pound all-purpose running back who is the best in his high school class that can see instant playing time the moment he can create lanes for himself with his elite cutting ability in the backfield. He has the vision and anticipation to read linebackers and attack the proper gap at the second level.
Carrie is not the most powerful back; however, he is slippery in small spaces, and defenders rarely can get a clean shot at him, and he has a second gear in the open field that is one of the best in the country. Once he gets to the open field, he usually does not get caught.
MAKE PLAYS… 🙂

Carries spoke to Ryan Wright, National recruiting Analyst from Rivals.com, and broke down Penn State when he talked about his top schools:
“Penn State is another school that runs the heck out of the football. They produce NFL backs. Coach Ja’Juan Seider and I have a great relationship. He is very familiar with the Florida area. He is comfortable grabbing running backs out of Florida. Penn State also has a black head coach, that sparks my interest.”
Penn State is looking to add to its 2024 recruiting class that has only in-state offensive lineman Cooper Cousins from McDowell High School in Erie, Pennsylvania.
