Look: Chad Powers Already on Eli Manning’s Wall of Fame

Last Monday, Sept. 19, Chad Powers broke the Internet.

This Monday, Sept. 26, the world saw a picture of powers on his creator’s Wall of Fame.

An image of Powers running his 40-yard dash in 5.49 seconds— wearing a shirt with the number 200 on it— can be seen behind New York Giants legend Eli Manning as he talks on the weekly ManningCast that Manning co-hosts with his brother Peyton— who was also pretty good at football.

In case you don’t know by now, Chad Powers is actually Eli Manning.

While Manning was visiting Penn State last month, showed up to Penn State’s walk-on tryouts as Powers.

Despite his positive attitude, “think fast, run fast” catchphrase and capable arm, Powers didn’t get a chance to walk-on at Penn State.

He already used his college eligibility two years ago, playing quarterback at Ole Miss in the early 2000s.

Powers didn’t make the team, but he did become phenomenon.

It seems like everybody, from Saquon Barkley to Pat McAfee to Jimmy Fallon, wants to talk about Powers.

In the first Penn State football game since the Powers character became known to the world, fans rocked Powers T-shirts, and a sign that featured Powers’ “think fast, run fast” catchphrase showed up in Penn State’s “Nittanyville” student section.

It’s not clear yet how long the Chad Powers fad will last, but it’s lasted a full week, and now has shown up in before a prime time football game.
