The tragic news about Pirates prospect Oneil Cruz appears to take an even worse turn with this revelation this evening.

Update: 8:33 p.m.

**Tonight, Penn State extends an offer to 2023 4-star OT Kadyn Proctor from Des Moines, Iowa. Proctor (6’7”, 280) also holds early offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas State, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska and Oregon.

Update: 4:45 p.m.

Here are some more details about the tragic story involving Pirates prospect Oneil Cruz after three people were killed in an accident in the Dominican Republic.

Cruz apparently was detained at the scene. The motorcycle he hit did not have lights on, and the accident occurred after curfew.

**Penn State extends an offer today to 2022 4-star cornerback Laterrance Welch from Lafayette, Louisiana. Welch (6’1”, 180) is rated as a Top 100 junior with offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Texas.

The Altoona Area School District has announced it will allow 33 percent capacity for fans at games.

Some awful news this morning out of the Dominican Republic involving Pittsburgh Pirates prospect Oneil Cruz. He was in Altoona this summer working out with the Pirates’ tax squad and is expected to be with the Altoona Curve next season.
