This November, Penn State wrestling will host a prominent Big 12 program from Oklahoma.
No, not that prominent Big 12 program from Oklahoma.
A showdown between Cael Sanderson’s empire and David Taylor’s Oklahoma State Cowboys isn’t in the cards this year and might never be in the cards.
But Penn State will be taking on one half of the rivalry known as “Bedlam.”
Penn State will take on Oklahoma Friday, Nov. 14 at Rec Hall. This is only the second confirmed non-conference opponent on Penn State’s schedule, with the first being an in-state bout at Drexel Dec. 5. The dates of Penn State’s Big Ten dual meets aren’t out yet but the opponents are already known.

Oklahoma will stay in PA after wrestling Penn State, with a dual meets at Bucknell scheduled for the next day.
This news was announced by coach Roger Kish.
“We’re really looking forward to the upcoming season,” Kish said in a news release. “We’ve added a lot of new faces who bring a strong mix of proven talent and veteran leadership. Our regular season schedule is going to be challenging, which will put us in a great position to prepare for both the Big 12 Championship and NCAA Championships.”
Unfortunately for Kish and company, the best the team can hope for is a split.
Penn State has won 71 straight dual meets and needs just six more to break the national record, held by Oklahoma State.
