The Penn State men’s basketball program has offered a talented prospect out of Winchendon, Massachusetts by the name of Treddy Faison.
Faison, a 5′-9″ point guard from the Class of 2027 plays for the Winchendon School in Massachusetts and previously played for the LaSalle Institute in Troy, New York.
He also competes in the highly competitive Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) for the Albany-based City Rocks during the spring and summer months
Faison has earned the nickname, “Off Night,” in EYBL play for his relentless defensive pressure on opposing standouts, preventing them from excelling when facing him.
“We all can score here, so I realized I had to do whatever it took for us to win, whether it was guarding the best player on the other team, rebounding, or diving for a loose ball,” Faison told James Allen of the Times Union.
Jim Hart, founder of the City Rocks has this to say about his point guard to Allen:
“Treddy is doing great,” Hart told the Times Union. “A lot with the guys that go away to prep school, there is an extra level of maturity that they get from being out of their home, where you are really fending for yourself. He has been involved with everything in school, including being in a play and going hiking. He does all types of things there. He has really evolved and become a strong leader, floor general and defender.”
Penn State currently has senior point guard Jay Rodgers on the squad that Penn State brought in from Central Connecticut State in the transfer portal.
