Penn State will once again have a strong presence on the national stage after nine Nittany Lions received invitations to the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine, the league announced Wednesday.
A total of 319 prospects were invited to this year’s combine, which will take place February 23 through March 2 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
The annual event serves as a critical evaluation period for NFL teams, featuring on-field workouts, medical evaluations, and team interviews ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Leading Penn State’s group is quarterback Drew Allar, who headlines the offensive invitees alongside running backs Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen. Tight end Khalil Dinkins and offensive linemen Vega Ioane and Drew Shelton round out a group that reflects the Nittany Lions’ offensive depth and production in recent seasons.
Defensively, edge rusher Dani Dennis-Sutton and interior defensive lineman Zane Durant will showcase their abilities in Indianapolis, while defensive back Zakee Wheatley completes the list of Penn State representatives.
The nine invitations underscore Penn State’s continued reputation as a pipeline to the NFL as Penn State is one of three schools (Alabama, Georgia) to have five or more players selected in the last eight consecutive NFL Drafts. With multiple prospects projected as early-round selections, the Nittany Lions will be well represented as draft season intensifies and preparations for April’s draft continue.
