One of Penn State’s veteran defensive lineman has left the program.
According to Tyler Donohue of 247Sports, Zuriah Fisher will not play in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl and is no longer with the team.
Fisher recorded 19 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, one forced fumble, and one pass break up during his redshirt senior season in 2025. It was Fisher’s sixth season of eligibility after redshirting in 2020 and missing all of 2024 due to an injury.
He told the media during the week leading into the Rutgers game that he may pursue a seventh year of eligibility by the NCAA.
Fisher didn’t play in 2024 and played only two games in 2022, leaving the door open for the Aliquippa native to potentially transfer and play elsewhere. If not, Fisher could prepare to enter the 2026 NFL Draft in his home city of Pittsburgh.
The 6-foot-3 edge rusher was a four-star prospect out of high school and played in 11 games this season.
PSU is out at least Fisher, Daniel Jennings, and Chaz Coleman for the bowl game and final game coached by interim Terry Smith before handing the keys over to Matt Campbell.
Penn State plays Clemson in the 2025 Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium on December 27. Kickoff is at noon on ABC.
