Penn State got a big recruiting win on Father’s Day when Case Alexander, a four-star LB from Washington High School in Washington, Oklahoma, announced his commitment.
Hayes Fawcett of Rivals.com first reported the news Sunday evening.
Alexander is the No. 266 player in the country per 247Sports composite rankings, which also have him as the No. 22 LB and the No. 7 player in Oklahoma from his class.
Alexander picked Penn State over in-state Oklahoma, as well as Kansas State and Texas Tech, among others. He held offers from schools such as Arizona State, Arkansas, Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Northwestern, Oklahoma State, Purdue, SMU, Stanford, TCU and Utah.
Along with being a force at linebacker— 88 tackles, 10 TFL, 5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, one fumble recovery in 2025– Alexander starred on offense, going for 679 yards and 12 touchdowns on 36 catches. Washington finished 12-2 last season and finished Oklahoma 2A-I state runner-up.
Alexander’s older brother, Cooper Alexander, is currently a tight end at Penn State, having transferred over with coach Matt Campbell from Iowa State.
His father, Stephen, was also a tight end, playing at Oklahoma from 1994-97 and then having a 10-year career in the NFL, highlighted by a Pro Bowl appearance with the Washington Redskins in the 2000 season.
Penn State now has 21 players committed to its Class of 2027, with Alexander being the second linebacker to commit, joining Blake Betton, a three-star from Minnesota’s Shakopee High School.
