One of Penn State football’s biggest 2025 opponents is officially no longer with the program.
Matt Zenitz of 247Sports reported Thursday afternoon that Jurrion Dickey is no more a part of the Oregon Ducks and will be “joining the team at California JUCO Diablo Valley College.”
Dickey was a five-star receiver in the Class of 2025 but didn’t contribute much to the team over his first two seasons, combining for 14 yards on two catches.
Last month, Oregon suspended Dickey from the team for unspecified reasons.
“There’s some pieces of that where I felt like he needed a break from us and we needed a break from that so we could focus on what’s in front of us right now,” Coach Dan Lanning said at the time. “Wishing him nothing but the best, as far as success, and want to see him get back to where he can be a contributor somewhere. That might be here. That might be somewhere else.”
It turns out, it will be somewhere else.
Oregon is, of course, Penn State’s most prominent home opponent on the 2025 schedule. No. 2 Penn State is scheduled to host No. 4 Oregon Saturday, Sept. 28, at 7:30 on NBC in the program’s annual White Out game.
Oregon was already down a receiver when Evan Stewart suffered a season-ending injury over the summer. Stewart had 613 yards and five touchdowns on 48 receptions last season.
