The biggest game of the 2025 Penn State football season to date is finally upon us with No. 3 PSU taking on No. 6 Oregon.
This is the first time a White Out Game at Beaver Stadium has featured a Top 10 matchup since 2018, when Penn State played Ohio State.
It’s also the night we’ll find out how good each of these teams are.
Neither Penn State (wins over Nevada, FIU and Villanova) or Oregon (wins over Montana State, Oklahoma State, Northwestern and Oregon State) has been tested so far, and you better believe that will change tonight.

HOW’S THE WEATHER?
So how’s the weather going to be for this showdown? Well, it might be a little rainy at the start. There’s a 20% chance of rain at 7 and the same 20% chance at 8. After that, to paraphrase Blind Melon, “No Rain” is expected.
The worse the weather is, the better it might be for the home team. Penn State is known for its running game and physicality up front. Oregon is known for its speed. So although Oregon is certainly capable of performing well in a bad-weather game, the conditions seem to favor Penn State.
Last season, the team’s played for the Big Ten Championship in a dome and Penn State lost.
We’ll see what happens this time.

This will be the first time Penn State has played Oregon in a regular season game since October of 1964. Oregon won that game, 22-14 in Happy Valley. The last time Penn State beat Oregon in the regular season was 1963 with a 17-7 win in Portland.
To put things into perspective, Joe Paterno was still an assistant coach back then.
