State College – Penn State significantly revamped its wide receiver room following the longest season in program history. It ended without a wide receiver catching a pass in a 27-24 loss to Notre Dame in the College Football Playoff semifinals.
The Nittany Lions were committed to making sure it doesn’t happen again.
PSU added receivers Kyron Hudson (USC), Devonte Ross (Troy), and Trebor Peña (Syracuse) in the transfer portal. Both shifty receivers, who are dynamic returners as well, Ross and Peña explained why they choose Penn State and how they fit into the offense while speaking at Penn State Football Media Day.
Ross caught 76 passes for 1,043 yards and a Sun Belt-high 11 touchdowns in 2024.
Peña had a breakout season last year at Syracuse, catching an ACC-best 84 passes for 941 yards and nine touchdowns.
