Next month, theyโll try to add one of the best high school linebackers to their room. Four-star Cincere Johnson told Steve Wiltfong of On3 that he will announce his college decision on June 19.
Johnson will choose between Penn State, Ohio State, and Alabama.ย
A 6-foot-3, 225-pound edge from Cleveland, Ohio, Johnson is the No. 80 overall player in the Class of 2026. Heโs the nationโs No. 9 edge rusher and No. 2 player in Ohio. The 247Sports composite grades Johnson with a .965 rating.ย
247Sports predicts Johnson will sign with Ohio State. Ohio State insider Bill Kurelic entered his crystal ball pick on November 24.ย
Penn State offered Johnson on October 6, 2024, and made an unofficial visit to Happy Valley a month later (November 9). He came to PSU on an official visit on May 16 this year. Johnson is scheduled to visit Alabama on May 30 and Ohio State on June 13, just one week before his announcement.
Penn State has done well developing edge rushers over the years, preparing edge rushers Micah Parsons, Odafe Oweh, and Abdul Carter to be first-round picks.ย
