BEAUโS FINEST HOUR

Beau Pribula rushes for his eventual first half touchdown.
Pribulaโs finest hour took place Oct. 26 at Wisconsin.
Starting QB Drew Allar got hurt late in the first half, and with Penn State down 10-7 at the half, somebody needed to step up.
On defense, that guy was Jaylen Reed, whose Pick 6 gave Penn State a lead it wouldnโt lose.
On offense, Pribula was that guy. He went 11-for-13 for 98 yards and a touchdown. The next week, Allar was fine and Pribula went back into his Swiss Army Knife role. But for the second half of that Madison night, Pribula was the man for Penn State. If Pribula wasnโt sharp, who knows if Penn State beats Wisconsin? If Penn State doesnโt beat Wisconsin, it isnโt in the College Football Playoff.
THE GOOD NEWS

Pribula not getting a chance to live out his dream as his childhood schoolโs full-time starting QB is a shame for a few reasons. But the bright side for Penn State is that Pribula apparently entering the transfer portal it could be an indicator that Allar, who has the option to declare for the NFL Draft, will instead be back for 2025. Nothing is official yet.
Penn State has its first-ever College Football Playoff game scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 21 at noon against SMU on TNT/HBO Max at Beaver Stadium.
