Ahhhh … chaos. Penn State’s playoff path is now a near certainty regardless of the outcome of the Big Ten Championship game Saturday in Indianapolis. PSU comes in third or the No. 5 seed in the penultimate Playoff ranking.
This bodes well for Penn State even with a loss in the championship game. A win and PSU would earn a first-round bye. A loss and there will be a playoff game at Beaver Stadium.
What remains to be seen is how the committee will view a loss in the conference championship game.
