Former Penn State QB Beau Pribula has found a new home.
Sunday night, Matt Zenitz of 247Sports reported that Pribula, a 6-foot-2, 207-pounder from York, Pennsylvania, who played three season at Penn State before entering the transfer portal, has committed to Missouri.

Big get for Eli Drinkwitz and Mizzou. Pribula had ranked as one of the top uncommitted QBs in the transfer portal.https://t.co/eC74K0imzE pic.twitter.com/556Gl7XuSw

This at least means that, barring a postseason meeting, Pribula wonโt be facing his old school in 2025.
Two of the schools Pribula had been eyeing up were Indiana and Iowa, who PSU plays in 2025. Pribula also visited Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss, who he played against in last yearโs Peach Bowl.
Pribula will always be remembered fondly by Penn State fans.

A big reason Pribula became a fan favorite was his upbringing. Pribula rooted for Penn State as a kid, having grown up in York. Although Pribula technically was a backup QB, he wasnโt a traditional QB2. Pribula appeared in each of Penn Stateโs first 13 games, used mainly as a runner. He ended the season with 242 yards and four touchdowns on 38 carries. Pribula only passed the ball 35 times but completed 26 of them, with his finest hour coming Oct. 26 at Wisconsin.ย
Starting QB Drew Allar got hurt late in the first half, and with Penn State down 10-7 at the break, somebody needed to step up.
On defense, that guy was Jaylen Reed, whose Pick 6 gave Penn State a lead it wouldnโt lose.
On offense, Pribula was the guy. He went 11-for-13 for 98 yards and a touchdown. The next week, Allar was fine and Pribula went back into his Swiss Army Knife role. But for the second half of that Madison night, Pribula was the man for Penn State. If Pribula wasnโt sharp, who knows if Penn State beats Wisconsin? If Penn State doesnโt beat Wisconsin, it isnโt in the College Football Playoff.
So Penn State has, in part, Pribula to thank for it being in the Fiesta Bowl New Yearโs Eve.
SCREWED BY THE SYSTEM?

For many, Pribula got screwed over by the system. Among those who feel that was is Penn State coach James Franklin. For Franklin, the Beau Pribula situation is an example of whatโs wrong with college football.
Franklin said that he โhatesโ how this came about and wants things to change with college football.
โThereโs been a lot of discussions about maybe a commissioner of college football,โ Franklin told reporters during his weekly Monday presser Dec. 16. โI think itโs pretty obvious we need that. We need somebody running college football. We need somebody that is not biased based on a conference, and that is out of the financial impacts of it as well. Because if youโre just making decisions which are in the best interest of the student-athlete and college football, then I think you can do it. But if youโre biased by a specific conference, or if youโre impacted by making all your decisions based on revenue or earnings, then youโre never going to get to a good place.โ
No. 6 Penn State takes on No. 3 Boise State in the College Football Playoff quarterfinal, which will take place at the Fiesta Bowl. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 on ESPN New Yearโs Eve night.
