University Park— Penn State doesn’t lose at Beaver Stadium often but when it does, fans do not take it well, and Saturday’s 20-13 loss to— guess who— Ohio State was no exception to that rule.
When Penn State lost to Ohio State in 2018, coach James Franklin has to be restrained from physically going after a heckler in the stands.
When it lost to Michigan last season, Franklin got booed off the field.
This time, he got booed again, and he had words for one heckler in particular.
Although it’s hard to make out from the video, recorded by Seth Engle of State College.com, the fan appeared to point out that Penn State drove to the Ohio State red zone three times and came away with a total of three points.
Franklin responded.
“What’s your name,” he asked. “What’s your name? If you’re gonna be man enough to talk, what’s your name?”
The fan then walked away, and Franklin walked into the tunnel where he received a less-than-warm reception.
