Tyler Warren is really good at football, and whoever wasn’t sure of that found out during Penn State football’s 42-10 win at Purdue Saturday afternoon.
The tight end caught eight passes for 127 yards and a touchdown and ran the ball three times for 63 yards— 48 coming on a touchdown run— and Penn State cruised.
THE FIRST HALF
Penn State wasted no time on its first drive, going down the field 75 yards and nine plays and scoring on a 1-yard pass from Drew Allar to Kaytron Allen.

Penn State kept it going on its next possession, turning a 2nd and 12 from its own 5-yard line into a touchdown.
Allar threw his second TD pass, hitting Tyler Warren for a 15-yard score.

It stayed 14-0 through the end of the first quarter. Penn State out-gained Purdue 178-16 in those first 15 minutes.
Purdue’s offense showed life on its next possession, driving down to the Penn State 5. But the drive stalled and Purdue had to schedule for a field goal, making it 14-3.
Penn State didn’t take long to make it 21-3. A wild double-pass that featured Allar and Warren led to a 38-yard gain, and one play later, Nicholas Singleton ran in for a 10-yard score. That’s how the score stayed at halftime.
THE SECOND HALF
In the second half, Warren’s 48-yard run essentially put the game to bed.

A 46-yard pass from Allar to Harrison Wallace III and a 49-yard run by backup QB Beau Pribula made it 42-3, Penn State. The final score ended up being 49-10, with true freshman TE Luke Reynolds’ first college TE being the icing on the cake.
