Penn State football is undefeated, with the latest triumph being a 27-11 win over UCLA at Beaver Stadium Saturday.
That might have impressed some people but a former Big Ten QB wasn’t among them.
”Penn St continues to be one of the most over hyped and overrated football teams in the last 10 years,” former Ohio State QB Cardale Jones posted to X (formerly Twitter) at 1:18 Saturday, which would have been late in the first half when Penn State was leading 10-3.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anybody who knows anything about Cardale Jones. A long with the obvious connection of playing at Ohio State and (presumably) not liking Penn State, Jones doesn’t shy away from raising eyebrows on social media, the most famous being this one from 2012.
“Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL,” he wrote. “We ain’t come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS.”
Remember that time he said "we ain't come here to play school?"

There’s also this one from February 2015, the month after he quarterbacked Ohio State to its most recent national championship.
Jones addressed rumors of beating a kid in NCAA football while visiting a hospital.
“Man I wish everyone stop saying I beat a kid in the hospital 91-35…. It was 98-35, had 91 with 1:26 left in the 4th,” Jones wrote.

Social media aside, Jones will always be a legend at Ohio State for his role in the 2014 national title season.
With starter J.T. Barrett injured, Jones quarterbacked Ohio State to wins in the Big Ten Title Game (Wisconsin), College Football Playoff Semifinal (Alabama in the Sugar Bowl) and the national championship against Oregon.
Jones started one game against Penn State during his career, going 9-for-15 for 84 yards in a 38-10 win during the 2015 season.
