The kickoff time and television channel for Penn State football’s Oct. 5 game against UCLA have been announced.
The Big Ten posted to social media early Monday afternoon that this contest will be a Fox Big Noon kickoff set to begin at— you guessed it— noon on Fox.

The UCLA game will be the second time Penn State has been on “Big Noon” this season.
PSU’s season-opening win at West Virginia was also a Big Noon kick. Last season, three of Penn State’s games were Big Noon kicks— a win at Illinois and losses at Ohio State and to Michigan at home.
All three of those teams are staples of the Big Ten. That cannot be said for newbie UCLA.
This will be just the seventh overall meeting between the two schools. The first six came from 1963-68.
UCLA won four of those games but lost the most recent meeting, 21-6 at the Rose Bowl.
The week after Penn State plays UCLA, it will be going to Los Angeles to take on fellow Big Ten newbie USC, which is currently ranked No. 13.
Penn State has another Big Ten team, Washington, set to come to Beaver Stadium for a Nov. 9 clash that will also be Penn State’s annual White Out game. The fourth new team, Oregon, is not on this year’s Penn State schedule but is set to come to Beaver Stadium next season.
UCLA is off to a rough start at 1-2, with the lowlight being a 29-point loss to Indiana at home Sept. 14. Before No. 10 Penn State can worry about that, it must focus on No. 19 Illinois, which comes to Beaver Stadium this Saturday for a 7:30 kick.
