WATCH: 8 Penn State Players Find End Zone

Omari Evans celebrates his second half touchdown reception.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State put up a record-setting 718 yards of total offense and 56 points against Kent State Saturday afternoon at Beaver Stadium.

Eight different Penn State players scored. Some had their first touchdowns, others scored one of many, but they surely put on a good show in front of a home crowd of over 109,000 fans.

The first score was a 16-yard touchdown pass from Drew Allar to Tyler Warren.

Warren would be the quarterback for the next touchdown, a 17-yard completion to Nicholas Singleton.

Allar would find Liam Clifford on a 14-yard reception which marked the first touchdown of Clifford’s Penn State career.

Then Allar decided to take matters into his own hands to round out the first half scoring with a 5-yard run to put Penn State up 28-0 at the half.

Following the half, Allar dialed long distance to hit Omari Evans in stride for a 59-yard throw and catch to extend the lead to 35-0. The reception helped Evans go over the century mark for the first time in his career with the Penn State.

That touchdown would end Allar’s day and he’d finish 17-for-21 with 301 yards and 3 touchdowns along with five carries for 26 yards and a touchdown.

Beau Pribula would get in on the touchdown party on his first drive finding tight end Khalil Dinkins for a 13-yard touchdown.

It was running back Cam Wallace who’d find the end zone next, this score a run from just a yard out.

To round out the scoring, Pribula found the end zone from a yard away late in the fourth quarter to give Penn State the 56-0 win.

All told, the Nittany Lions racked up 409 passing yards, 309 rushing yards, eight touchdowns, 40 first downs and averaged 8.9 yards a play. The 718 yards broke a record set in 1926 by Penn State when they gained 711 total yards against Susquehanna.
