Penn State football just stays hot in recruiting.
Between Friday morning and early Sunday afternoon, PSU picked up commitments from the 2027 (Kemon Spell), 2026 (Lavar Keys) and, now, 2025 classes.
The latest commit is Koby Howard, a four-receiver from Hollywood (Florida, not California). Howard is rated 4-star by 247Sports composite and one of the top 100 receivers in the country.
Howard picked PSU ahead of Ole Miss, among other schools. He also had offers from places such as Arkansas, Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Miami, Maryland, Mississippi State, Missouri, NC State, Notre Dame, Pitt, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UCF, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
PSU offered him in June 2022.
This summer, Howard took an official visit the weekend of June 21, then came back to State College the next month for the annual Lasch Bash, which is Penn State’s biggest recruiting weekend of the summer.
In a prior interview with NSN, Howard had this to say about the Penn State staff.
“I really have a great relationship with all of the coaches on the Penn State staff,” Howard tells NSN. “Every single day, I have a different coach from Penn State calling me and making me feel like I’m a huge priority for them. A lot of their coaches text me but I believe I have the strongest relationship with Coach Seider. He texts me almost every day to check up on me and wants to see how I’m doing, my family is doing and how spring football is going. He’s just built a strong relationship with me and wants to make sure I’m good.“
Penn State now has 23 players committed to its ‘25 class. Howard is the third receiver.
