Saturday’s game against Michigan had the second-largest home attendance in Penn State football history.
Beaver Stadium’s official crowd of 110,856 is the largest of the season and the largest daytime crowd Beaver Stadium’s ever had.
Penn State’s playing its sixth home game, and three of them have been amongst the top five announced crowds.
The season opener against West Virginia was the fourth highest at the time of the game and now is the fifth. The team’s White Out game against Iowa three weeks later was No. 2 at the time and is now No. 3. The only bigger crowd Beaver Stadium’s had was in 2018 against Ohio State in a White Out night game.
Penn State lost that game to Ohio State and is in big-time danger of losing to Michigan. PSU trails 17-9 at the end of the third quarter.
