Penn State Makes Top 8 For 2025 4-Star Tight End

Penn State has earned the “Linebacker U” distinction over the years, but its also starting to develop a lot of talent at another position.

PSU have done a tremendous job over the last handful of years of attracting tight end talent to its program and at the same time, developing those players.

Mike Gesicki, Pat Freiermuth, Brenton Strange, Theo Johnson, Tyler Warren and Khalil Dinkins are just a few examples of players that graduated from or are still in the Nittany Lions program.

A player that James Franklin would love to add to his depth chart of the future is Logan Brooking.

Brooking is a 2025 4-star tight end from Savannah Christian School in Savannah, Georgia. The 6’4″, 235-pound prospect has accumulated over 25 offers and last night, Brooking decided to narrow that list down to just eight schools that he would be focusing on.

Brooking announced a Top 8 of (in no order)- Penn State, Clemson, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Miami, Michigan and Stanford. Some of the other Power Five programs that offered him were Cincinnati, Duke, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas, LSU, Michigan State, Tennessee, Central Florida, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin.

In terms of in-season visits, Brookings has gone to Penn State (September 2), Stanford (September 16), South Carolina and also made offseason visits to Clemson and Florida State.

Logan is the son of former five-time Pro Bowler and NFL great Keith Brooking (Atlanta Falcons, Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos).
