Sean Fitz, a PSU insider for Blue-White Illustrated, placed an expert prediction for the star from Archbishop Hoban High School in Akron.
Satterwhite is 6-foot-5, 300 pounds and the No. 7 ‘24 player in Ohio according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
The composite rankings also have Satterwhite as the 15th-ranked offensive lineman in the country from his class and the 220th overall player. Penn State offered Satterwhite last November. He also has offers from schools such as Alabama, Auburn, Cincinnati, Colorado, Duke, Iowa State, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, Pitt, Purdue, Rutgers, Tennessee, Wake Forest, West Virginia and Wisconsin. So, yeah, schools want this guy.
Satterwhite spoke with Nittany Sports Now back in January ahead of his visit to one of Penn State’s junior day events. Satterwhite told NSN that, despite growing up in Buckeye Country, he’s always supported Penn State.
A main reason for his interest is Penn State’s famous uniforms.
“One of the biggest things that initially drew me to Penn State was their jersey concept,” Satterwhite told NSN. “There’s nothing flashy about it and there’s no last names on the jerseys and that signifies no individuals and it’s all about one unit. That is unique and is something that stood out to me about Penn State.”
Interestingly enough, Ohio State hasn’t offered Satterwhite yet despite him being one of the top in-state players from the ‘24 recruiting cycle.
If Satterwhite picks Penn State, he’s be the second four-star Class of ‘24 OL to do so, joining McDowell’s Cooper Cousins, who committed in January 2022. Also committed to Penn State’s Class of 2024 are four-star LBs Anthony Speca (Pittsburgh Central Catholic) and Kari Jackson (West Bloomfield, Michigan), along with four-star DB Kenneth Woseley (Imhotep Charter).
