Penn State is receiving an official visit from All-MAC wide receiver Dante Cephas, and it’s clear that the pursuit of all-conference wide receivers isn’t stopping there.
Tre Harris, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound wideout from Louisana Tech by way of Lafayette, Louisiana, earned first-team All-Conference USA honors in 2022, and he picked up an offer from Penn State after entering the transfer portal this week.

Harris is in high demand around the college football landscape already, picking up offers from Penn State, Tulane, Mississippi State, West Virginia and Oklahoma since entering the portal.
In a dominant sophomore season at Louisiana Tech, Harris recorded 65 receptions for 935 yards (14.4 yards per reception) and 10 touchdowns. He racked up 106 catches for 1,517 yards (14.3 average) and 14 touchdowns over three seasons.
According to PFF, Harris took 697 offensive snaps in 2022, and he graded out as Louisiana Tech’s highest-rated offensive player.
With Penn State extending offers to Cephas, Harris and USF transfer wideout Jimmy Horn Jr., it’s clear that landing a top transfer option is a big priority for the PSU coaching staff.
Penn State is losing Mitchell Tinsley after the season, and Parker Washington hasn’t announced his decision when it comes to returning next season or leaving for the NFL.
KeAndre Lambert-Smith and Harrison Wallace III will return next season, and there are a number of young wide receivers who will ease into increased playing time, but it’s clear PSU is searching for proven, veteran options to bolster the room.
