Another 2023 Penn State Commitment Being Pursued by SEC Program

It appears as though the Penn State coaching staff will have to try and fight off another SEC program in order to hold on to one of their current commitments.

2023 4-star cornerback Conrad Hussey tweeted today that he’s picked up an offer from Auburn.

The 5’11”, 179-pound athlete from St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida gave his verbal commitment to James Franklin and the Nittany Lions back on April 25, 2022. At the time, Hussey decided on Penn State over other offers from Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Miami, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Utah.

Last week, 4-star DE Tomarrion Parker announced his decision to decommit from Penn State and immediately received an offer from Clemson.

It should be pointed out that four other players in the Class of 2023 that originally committed to Penn State, ended up flipping to SEC programs.

4-star defensive end Neeo Avery (Olney, Maryland) flipped and went to Ole Miss.

3-star offensive lineman Joshua Miller (Chester, Virginia) flipped to Georgia.

4-star quarterback Marcus Stokes (Ponte Verdka, Florida) flipped to Florida.

4-star wide receiver Yazeed Hayes (Lansdale, Pennsylvania) flipped to Georgia.

Despite all of this, Penn State’s Class of 2023 is still ranked No. 12 by Rivals.com and No. 11 by 247Sports.com.
