As expected, class of 2023 prospect Antonio “Neeo” Avery— 6-6, 235-pound DE/ATH prospect from Olney, Maryland, has committed to Penn State.
Three out of four 247 Sports “Crystal Ball” projections had Avery picking the Lions, with Georgia being the outlier. Avery, who steamed his announcement on Instagram, teased for a second by putting on a Georgia hat, but quickly took the hat off, unzipped his coat and revealed a Penn State t-shirt.
While that tease may have fooled some, fans who closely follow recruiting expected Avery to sign with Penn State, and any doubt was probably erased when coach James Franklin sent this tweet minutes before the reveal.

A lot can happen between now and signing day, but if Avery is to stick with Penn State, the prospect of him playing on the edge with standout 2022 commit Dani-Dennis Sutton should be exciting to any Nittany Lion fan.
