Class of ‘23 Four-Star Recruit Set to Make Decision, Penn State the Favorite

Four-star defensive end/athlete Antonio “Neeo” Avery will announce where he plans to play college football at 7 p.m. tonight. For now, it appears Penn State is the frontrunner.

Avery, from Our Lady Good Counsel High School in Olney, Maryland is a four-star recruit according to 247Sports’s composite rankings. Three of 247’s four “Crystal Ball” projections have him choosing Penn State, with Georgia being the outlier.

The six-foot-five athlete is ranked as the 205th best player in his class and the 19th best edge rusher in the nation. Although he played a variety of positions in high school including tight end and quarterback, he projects to play on the edge as a defensive end / edge rusher.
