Key Penn State Player Leaves Buffalo Game With Injury

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — One of the biggest things Penn State looked to get out of Saturday’s game was being healthy and it looks as though the tight end room has taken a hit.

Andrew Rappleyea left the field after a 13-yard catch late in the first quarter. He returned to the sideline following the half sans helmet and shoulder pads.

Rappleyea hauled in three receptions for 24 yards prior to leaving the game and it would explain Gabe Burkle’s presence at tight end for the Nittany Lions.

The silver lining is the score doesn’t necessitate a return to the game for Rappleyea or any of the starters at this juncture of the contests.

No official word has come from the team as far as his injury is concerned.
