Penn State Basketball: Rhoades Addresses The Media After Upsetting Iowa

The Iowa Hawkeyes came into State College this afternoon with a NET Ranking of 26.

In other words, they were the No. 26 ranked team in the country.

In a back-and-forth battle that saw 15 lead changes and eight tie scores, it was the young Nittany Lion squad who came out the victor  upsetting Iowa by the score of 71-69.

With 1.5 seconds to play in regulation, redshirt junior, Freddie Dilione V., knocked in two free throws to seal the victory after drawing a foul driving to the hoop. Dilione finished the game with 15 points shooting 50% from the field and also registered five rebounds and two assists.

But it was teammate and lone senior on the team, Josh Reed, who rallied his team to victory by scoring a career-high 25 points, shooting a blistering 75% from the field, dished out four assists and hauled down three rebounds.
