Penn State has added more size and depth to its offensive line through the transfer portal, landing Division II Tiffin interior lineman Tyshon Huff following a visit to State College.
Huff concluded his official visit over the weekend and committed shortly afterward during meetings with head coach Matt Campbell, offensive line coach Ryan Clanton, and the rest of the Nittany Lions’ staff.
Penn State entered Huff’s recruitment late but moved quickly once contact was established, prioritizing an in-person evaluation that helped seal the decision.
The Princeton (Cincinnati, Ohio) product entered the transfer portal in November and drew interest from several FBS programs, including Kent State, Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Wyoming, and Troy, along with multiple FCS schools.
Huff visited Buffalo, Troy, and Wyoming before arriving at Penn State, where he said the experience stood apart from the rest of his recruitment.
Huff signed with Tiffin as an unranked prospect in the 2023 recruiting cycle and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
He is currently ranked No. 1,408 overall and No. 118 among interior offensive linemen in the transfer portal by 247Sports.
Huff becomes Penn State’s fifth offensive line transfer addition this offseason, joining Texas State center Brock Riker and Iowa State transfers Trevor Buhr, Kuol Kuol II, and Will Tompkins.
