One of Penn State’s highest-rated recruits this decade is staying in the Big Ten, but won’t be playing in Happy Valley next season.
Former five-star tight end Andrew Olesh has committed to Oregon, per Hayes Fawcett of On3.
Olesh entered the transfer portal Jan. 3 following one season at Penn State.
A 6-foot-5 tight end from Southern Lehigh High School, Olesh redshirted in 2025. He didn’t see action on offense in any of Penn State’s 13 games.
Olesh flipped from Michigan before signing with Penn State, but had Oregon in his final grouping of programs to choose from.
In his senior season at Southern Lehigh, Olesh caught 75 passes for 1,105 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Penn State retained redshirt sophomore Andrew Rappleyea and added 6-foot-7 Iowa State transfer Benjamin Brahmer in the portal. Khalil Dinkins is off to the NFL and Luke Reynolds transferred to Virginia Tech, but Olesh opted to remain in the conference, but on a different coast.
Oregon tight end Kenyon Sidiq is projected to be a first-round pick after posting 51 catches for 560 yards and 11 touchdowns for the Ducks in their run to the CFP semifinals, before losing to Indiana.
The transfer portal opened Jan. 2 and remains open for a 15-day window until January 16.
