One of Penn State’s depth receivers will evaluate his options in the transfer portal next week.
According to Pete Nakos of On3, redshirt junior wide receiver Anthony Ivey is set to enter the transfer portal.
The portal opens on January 2 and runs through January 16, a single 15-day window with no spring portal this year.
A 5-11, 191-pound pass catcher from Lancaster, Ivey rarely saw time in Penn State’s offense.
He didn’t have a catch this season and the lone grab of his career was a 15-yard catch in 2024 against Kent State.
A former four-star recruit by On3, Rivals, ESPN, and 247Sports in the class of 2022, Ivey was an all-state honoree four times but never found his footing in college.
Ivey couldn’t crack a wide receiver room with transfers Kyron Hudson, Devonte Ross, and Trebor Peña (Pinstripe Bowl MVP) and veteran Liam Clifford playing the majority of snaps. The emergence of freshman Koby Howard also made it difficult for Ivey to find a role in the offense.
Offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki is moving on as Matt Campbell is bringing Taylor Mouser with him from Iowa State to be PSU’s newest OC.
The Nittany Lions won the 2025 Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl 22-10 over Clemson and are turning the page to roster retention and acquisition in 2026.
