Penn State head coach Matt Campbell received another commitment from a familiar face.
Offensive tackle Pete Eglitis became the latest Iowa State signee to flip his commitment to Penn State.
The 6-foot-7, 290-pound lineman grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and helped lead Bishop Watterson to back-to-back state championships over the past two seasons.
Eglitis indicated his relationship with offensive line coach Ryan Clanton and how Campbell’s culture were main factors on his flip.
A consensus three-star prospect by all major recruiting services, Eglitis earned 20 scholarship offers during the recruiting process. He took visits to nearly as many programs, though he has yet to visit Penn State in person. He plans to enroll in State College in just a few weeks.
Eglitis originally committed to Iowa State following his official visit to Ames in early June. He also took an official visit to Louisville and had planned a trip to Pitt before canceling it after committing.
He joins quarterbacks Kase Evans and Peyton Falzone as Penn State’s three offensive commits in the Class of 2026.
Overall, Eglitis becomes the seventh commitment in the Class of 2026 for Penn State, joining defensive lineman Jackson Ford, safeties Bryson Williams, Tyrell Chatman, and punter Lucas Tenbrock.
