Penn State men’s head basketball coach, Mike Rhoades, has announced the signing of Jamison ‘Jamo’ White, who signed to join the Nittany Lions during the November early signing period.
White is a four-star, 6′-8″ forward from St. Louis, Missouri playing his senior season for East St. Louis Senior High School in East St.Louis, Illinois. While playing for the Chaminade College Preparatory School in Missouri, White averaged 14.7 ppg., 8.3 rpg., 2.2 apg., 1.2 bpg. and 1.0 spg. Per ESPN, White is the No. 3 player out of the state of Missouri.
For AAU Bradley Beal Elite, White was a two-time Peach Jam champion leading his team to both the 16U and 17U Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) Peach Jam championships. The 17U Brad Beal Elite team is coached by Tony Irons, who coached former Nittany Lion, Nick Kern Jr., in high school.
Jamo White on Penn State: “I chose Penn State because of the trust and connection I’ve built with the coaching staff. From day one, they’ve made it clear that Penn State is a place where players are developed on and off the court. The program’s tradition, work ethic, and family atmosphere align perfectly with my values and goals. I know the opportunity here will push me to reach my full potential as both a player and a person.
Rhoades on White: “Jamo is a versatile forward whose skill, physicality and hard-playing mentality meshes perfectly with our team culture and style of play. He will fit seamlessly into our program both on and off the court and we’re thrilled to welcome him to our basketball family.”
Jamison White, to this point, is the lone signee out of the 2026 class to sign with the Nittany Lions.
