The firing of Penn State Football head coach James Franklin has sent shockwaves through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania near and far and no place has felt that more to this moment than on the recruiting trail.

Those shockwaves will continue to be felt for quite some time until a new coach and staff is hired and can hit the road to recruit.

It’s taken its toll on the 2027 Class, which now doesn’t exist.

For the 2026 Class, Penn State has just six definite recruits at the moment. That said most of the others are opting to reopen their recruitment without explicitly decommitting.

One of the side effects to firing a college coach is always what commits will stay and what will go, and Franklin’s firing won’t be any different.

So who is leaving? Who is staying?

Here you will find a one-stop shop for all decommitments and those who have reaffirmed their belief in the Nittany Lions:

Note: This will be updated accordingly whenever new information is available.
