The Broad Street Autumn Invitational doubleheader will also feature Philadelphia’s Drexel Dragons taking on the Syracuse Orange. This will be the fourth time in program history Penn State has played the Friars. Penn State owns a 2-1 advantage in the all-time series which includes a 55-52 overtime win in the 2012 Puerto Rico Tip-Off and a 69-59 victory in the first round of the 2001 NCAA Tournament. GIANT Center – Hershey, Pa. – Sunday, December 21 – vs. Pittsburgh

Penn State will square off against Pittsburgh in a battle of the Keystone State. This sweet game will mark the 149th time the two teams have met. The last time Penn State and Pitt faced each other was in 2017 at the Legends Classic in Brooklyn when the Nittany Lions defeated the Panthers 85-54. Penn State owns a 76-72 advantage in the all-time series.
The Palestra – Philadelphia, Pa. – Saturday, January 3 – vs. Illinois
This game will be the 64th time Penn State has played at “The Cathedral of College Basketball,” better known as The Palestra. This historic landmark opened in 1927 and has hosted more regular season and postseason games than any other arena for basketball during that time. This matchup against the Fighting Illini should be a battle as Illinois made it to the Round of 32 last season in the NCAA Tournament.
