The Big Ten has released the full 20-game schedule for Penn State and the rest of its basketball teams.
Penn State has nine conference games at home, and has a matchup against Illinois at The Palestra in Philadelphia scheduled for Jan. 3.
There are many highlights to this year’s schedule which includes four weekend home games.
Penn State hosts Michigan State Saturday, Dec. 13, Minnesota Sunday, February 1, USC Sunday, February 8 and Iowa Saturday, February 28.
Additionally, both UCLA and USC are set to play in Happy Valley for the first time since joining the Big Ten.
Conference action will begin Tuesday, Dec. 9 when Penn State takes on Indiana in Bloomington. Penn State then returns home to host Michigan State later that week Saturday, Dec. 13.
Following the holiday season and the conclusion of all non-conference matchups, Penn State will continue their tradition of playing a game inside the “Cathedral of College Basketball,” The Palestra, against Illinois. This game will mark the 64th time of playing a home game in the historic landmark dating back to 1927.

Penn State will then kick off February by hosting Minnesota Sunday, February 1. Other home games in February will be against USC, Rutgers and Iowa. The away games in February will be at Michigan, Washington, Oregon and Nebraska.
The regular season will then conclude in March when Penn State plays Ohio State at the BJC Wednesday, March 4 and then against Rutgers in New Jersey Sunday, March 8.
The Big Ten Tournament will run from Tuesday, March 10 through Sunday, March 15 at the United Center in Chicago. It was reported today by Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports that the tournament will now include all 18 teams in the league after only 15 played in the Big Ten Tournament last season.
