The Senior Bowl, which operates out of Mobile, Alabama, unveiled its first Top 300 preseason list, and Penn State football is well-represented.
In the Senior Bowl Top 300 debut, Penn State is one of five schools nationally to have 10 or more players on the watch list, with 10 on the dot.
The Penn State players that have made the list are quarterback Drew Allar, running backs Nick Singleton, Kaytron Allen, wide receiver Trebor Pena, Devonte Ross, offensive linemen Vega Ioane, Drew Shelton, defensive linemen Dani Dennis-Sutton, Zane Durant, and defensive back Zakee Wheatley.
The tagline for the Senior Bowl is “The Draft Starts In Mobile,” and the event has longed prided itself as showcasing the best of the best.
“We decided to trim our watchlist from 850 to 300 to raise the bar and truly spotlight the top-tier talent across the country,” said Senior Bowl Executive Director Drew Fabianich. “Our staff has been working rigorously to identify the top talent in this year’s draft class and the players on this list have stood out so far, but this is just the beginning. This season is the most valuable part of our process and there is still plenty of football to be played. Our scouts will be on the road every week, tracking how these players perform and who continues to rise.”
The Senior Bowl is composed of former NFL scouts who have evaluated more than 2,000 draft eligible football prospects.
Overall, the SEC (109) had the most prospects, followed by the Big Ten with 68.
The 2026 Panini Senior Bowl will take place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. Central Time at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Alabama.
