Police have reported that former Penn State receiver Julian Fleming has been injured in an ATV accident, and his passenger, Alyssa Boyd, died in the crash.

The accident happened Friday night in Bradford County.

“This crash occurred on Painter Lick Lane in Columbia Township, Bradford County,โ€ reads the Pennsylvania State police report. โ€œAn ATV was traveling northbound on Painter Lick Lane when it collided with a deer that had jumped out in the roadway. Neither of the occupants were wearing safety equipment. The operator of the ATV sustained serious injuries and was transported to Guthrie Troy Community Hospital. The passenger sustained extensive injuries from the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. A recently deceased deer was located on scene consistent with damage observed on the ATV. Assisted on scene by Guthrie EMS, Troy Fire Department and the Pennsylvania State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Specialists. This crash is under further investigation at this time.”

Nittany Sports Now can confirm that Boyd, 23, was Flemingโ€™s girlfriend.

Lions247 reported that Fleming has been released from the hospital.

Fleming, 24, played his last college season in Happy Valley but spent most of his career at Ohio State.

The former No. 2 overall recruit in the country who starred at Southern Columbiaโ€” less than 100 miles from Penn Stateโ€” signed with OSU out of high school and played there from 2020-23.

Fleming wasnโ€™t drafted this spring but was expected to sign a free agent contract with the Green Bay Packers. But Fleming reportedly lost that offer due to a failed physical.

This is a developing story, and Nittany Sports Now will have more information once it becomes available.
