Penn State wrestling is looking to close out another perfect dual meet season and only a 55.5-point underdog in American stands in the way.
Having Tyler Kasak back would help, and it looks like the top-ranked wrestler at 157 pounds might be back after missing consecutive dual meets with an injury.
But multiple other options at 157 are listed in Penn State’s lineup.
Per Track Wrestling, Penn State has weighed in 9 of its 10 starters. Kyison Garcia is listed at 133 instead of Braeden Davis. Otherwise, the regulars, including Tyler Kasak, are on the current bout sheet. Final word is still about an hour away for tonight's dual with American.

American is 10-9 overall and 1-4 in the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association.
Penn State is 14-0 overall and 8-0 in the Big Ten, with none of the dual meets being close.
So, yeah, this one is probably going to be ugly.

This is PSU’s final tuneup before the Big Ten Championships, which are scheduled for March 8-9 in Evanston, Illinois, with Northwestern being the host school.
The maximum points a wrestling team can score in a dual meet is 60, so for Penn State to win by 56 would be astonishing.
But it can be done.
Here are the projected lineups. Although Kasak is set to be back per TrackWrestling, Braeden Davis, who’s ranked No. 7 at 133, is not. It looks like Kysion Garcia will be wrestling in his place.

Lilledahl gets a takedown within the first minute to go ahead 3-0. Another takedown and an escape make it 6-1, but Lilledahl accumlates 1:37 of riding time before another Bainey escape makes it 6-2. With 10 seconds left, Lilledahl gets another takedown to make it 9-2.
