Penn State offensive line coach Phil Trautwein started the day on a high note when signee Malachi Goodman was named a five-star recruit in 247Sports’ final Class of 2025 rankings.

He’s looking to find the next star lineman and worked toward that goal by visiting Class of 2026 four-star tackle Bryce Gilmore in Prosper, Texas.

Miami and Oklahoma State met with Gilmore  Wednesday, including a visit from Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy.

A 6-foot-4, 270-pound tackle from Prosper High School, 247 Sports regards Gilmore as the 182nd-ranked player in next season’s recruiting class. On3 credits Gilmore with a 90.9 overall grade, while 247 gives him a .9214 composite score.

Penn State isn’t one of the 25 teams to officially offer Gilmore. Those offers include Pitt, Duke, Oregon, Ole Miss, Florida and Arkansas. Oregon, Purdue, Nebraska and Washington are the only Big Ten programs to offer Gilmore, who received his latest offer from Arizona Tuesday. Gilmore is on PSU’s radar, along with in-state programs Texas Tech, TCU, and UTSA.

The Nittany Lions finished the 2025 recruiting class (including transfers) with the 15th-best ranking by 247Sports with 27 incoming players, led by Goodman and 12 four-star recruits.
