Penn State just had two runners reach 1,000 yards in a season for the first time in program history, and both could be coming back, per Pat McAfee.
McAfee, while talking with legendary coach Nick Saban on Thursdayโs episode of โThe Pat McAfee Show,โ said that Penn State โallegedlyโ could have Nicholas Singleton (1,015 yards, nine touchdowns, 6.5 yards per carry) and Kaytron Allen (1,026 yards, eight touchdowns, 5.1 YPC) back for 2025.

IS IT REALISTIC?

So is it realistic for both Singleton and Allen to come back for a fourth year? Nothing is set in stone yet. But sure it is.
Singleton is the fourth-ranked running back in the Draft per Mel Kiper Jr. This seems good on the surface. But considering there are years where a running back doesnโt even go in the first round, perhaps Singleton could improve his stock with another year.
Allen, on the other hand, isnโt listed in Kiperโs top ten. So it seems heโs a lock to return to college football.
No. 6 Penn State will take on the winner of No. 7 Notre Dame and No. 2 Georgia in the Orange Bowl Thursday, Jan. 9. at 7:30 on ESPN.
