Pair of Penn State Players Reach Single-Season Milestones

Could Kaytron Allen be back at Penn State next season?

Glendale– Two Penn State players have set single-season milestones and both did it on the same drive.

With a 23-yard run, Kaytron Allen went over 1,000 yards for the season (that run gave him 1,000 on the dot).

Later on, a 13-yard touchdown reception by Tyler Warren gave him 98 for the season, breaking Allen Robinson’s single-season reception record, which he set in 2013.

Both players have been huge parts of the Penn State offense all season, and the Fiesta Bowl/College Football Playoff quarterfinal against Boise State has been no exception.

Midway through the third quarter, Allen has 112 yards on 13 carries. Warren has 63 yards and two touchdowns on six receptions.

At this point, Penn State fans are used to seeing Warren, who earned the John Mackey Award, annually presented to America’s top tight end, reaching milestones. Allen’s case is a little different. Coming into Tuesday night’s game, Allen was second behind Nicholas Singleton for the team lead in rushing.

That’s not the case anymore. Penn State leads Boise State by 10.
