With the start of the Pennsylvania high school football season beginning this Friday, a top Penn State 2026 target received some unfortunate news.
Westinghouse 2026 defensive back Kyshawn Robinson announced this afternoon on Twitter that he would miss the entire 2024 season due to an injury.
due to injury I will not be playing this season. @PA_TodaySports @210ths @WPIAL_Insider @wpialsportsnews @On3Recruits @RivalsFriedman @RivalsDylanCC @EdOBrienCFB @PRZPAvic

Nittany Sports Now reached out to Robinson and asked him about that tweet and if he could give any further details.
“Messed up my hip, IDK what’s exactly wrong yet but I do know I’ll be needing surgery.”
NSN wishes Robinson the best of luck with the surgery and hopes he has a successful rehab.
It’s been an interesting last few days for Robinson as earlier in the week, Rivals.com, for whatever reason, moved him from a 4-star recruit to a 3-star.
This caught the attention of a few people considering Robinson holds close to 40 D-1 offers and was one of the most offered recruits this off-season. Some of the programs that have extended Robinson an offer includes Penn State, Pitt, West Virginia, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Texas A&M, USC and Wisconsin.
Speaking of that big offer list, back on July 31st, Robinson narrowed that list down to six schools, where were Penn State, Pitt, West Virginia, Florida State, Ohio State and Colorado.
This is an obvious huge play to Robinson’s Westinghouse team, which has a combined record of 27-2 with Robinson. Both of the losses have come in the state championship game to Southern Columbia.
