For the second straight day, Penn State has lost a Class of 2025ย recruiting target.
Just like the first one, this player has committed to Clemson.
A little more than 24 hours after four-star safety Graceson Littletonโ who just came off his official visit to PSUโ committed to Clemson, three-star OL Rowan Byrne, who had Penn State as a finalist, also committed to Clemson, per Hayes Fawcett of On3Sports.

The 6-foot-6, 300-pounder from Iona High School in New Rochelle, New York, picked Clemson over Florida State and PSU, among others.
This shouldnโt come as a big surprise.
All seven of 247Sportsโ Crystal Ball Projections had Byrne picking Clemson.
With that said, PSU has been recruiting Byrne for a while.
PSU offered him in May 2023. The next month, he visited Penn State for a prospect camp. In late September, he came back again, this time for a game, watching PSUโs 31-0 White Out demolition of Iowa in person. Months after that, he visited Penn State for one of the schoolโs junior day events in late January. He had an official lined up for Penn State the weekend of June 21. But thatโs presumably off the table.
Byrne went on his official to Clemson the last weekend of May. He also had one scheduled to his other finalist, Florida State, for June 14-16, which is likely off the table as well.
PSU currently has two OL committed to its 2025 Class. Tackle Owen Aliciene (Avon Old Farms) announced his commitment in late January, and IOL Michael Troutman (Wayne, New Jersey) announced his weeks later.
Dating back to the 2023 recruiting class, DE T.J. Parker was committed to Penn State but ended up flipping to Clemson.
