A ton of important football activity is happening in State College this weekend.
Tops on that list are the official visits that 10 different high school players are making to the Penn State football program. Not always, but a lot of times, official visit weekend will result in immediate commitments, so NSN will be monitoring that.
The other key activity taking place will be another weekend of football camps that the Penn State coaches will be hosting.
The vast majority of the players participating in these will be underclassman, who are hoping to make an impression with the coaching staff resulting in a scholarship offer.
One of the top talents participating in these camps will be a high school freshman, that already has the attention of numerous programs from all around the country.
2027 quarterback Brady Edmunds from Huntington Beach, California, is at Penn State both today and tomorrow. Having a prospect like this around the coaches and the Penn State culture for consecutive days is a big deal for Penn State.

Despite just completing his freshman season, where he threw for 2,691 yards and 24 touchdowns, Edmunds (6’5″, 215) already holds offers from Michigan, Texas, Ohio State, Oregon, Florida State, Arizona State, Auburn, Boston College, Louisville, Virginia Tech, Washington and Washington State.
Schools such as Ohio State, Florida State, Washington State, Arkansas, Washington and Boston College recently came to see Edmunds throw and immediately offered. Notre Dame reportedly was also in Huntington Beach to see Edmunds but according to Rivals.com, they want to see sophomore film before offering.
Odds are that Edmunds will add another big-name school to his every growing offer list after leaving Penn State on Sunday. If this were to happen, Edmunds would become the first quarterback in the Class of 2027 to receive an offer from Penn State.
